What Is It Going To Take?

What is it going to take?

I’ve found myself asking this question over and over again.

I went from taking a much needed zen break in Vegas to being quarantined, schools being canceled and every speaking and emcee gig I had planned for the next 4 months being put on pause.

And all that happened over the course of a weekend.

The first few weeks of this #QuarantineLife I was emotional and confused and felt like I was barely keeping my head above water.

Then came acceptance of this “new normal” and learning how can we make the best of this.

The last few weeks have been (for the most part) enjoyable.

But, in the back of my mind I felt a nudge…a tickle…a “something is missing” feeling.

I didn’t realize what it was until last week.

I feel like my purpose has been put on pause.

To go from jamming full speed ahead spreading the message of grit and grace through the blog and the radio show…

To be elbow deep in helping our community and local charities week after week to…

Screeching halt…

Nothing.

I felt lost and sad.

I felt like I was shouting into nothingness and barely being helpful to those around me.

So, I decided I needed to find my motivation again.

My friend and entrepreneur  Sabrina Spears mentioned that she signed up for RISExLIVE with Rachel Hollis.

And I took a look at it and thought…maybe.

Then another friend (another amazing local business owner btw) tagged me in a post about it…and I thought hmmm.

And THEN I went online and read about what it was and saw the cost was $40 and I thought.

$40 and one Saturday sitting at home locked in my bedroom getting inspired and motivated, finding new resources and new energy…I can do that.

I can make that happen.

And so, I did.

The Cowboy took the kids away for the morning session and I hid out for the afternoon.

RISExLIVE was everything I hoped for, everything I needed.

I wanted to share some of the experience with you but wasn’t sure how.

So, I decided to pick my favorite quote from each of the speakers and share them with you.

If you find a particular quote inspiring or intriguing, just click it, and it will take you to that speaker’s website so you can easily have access to more of the good stuff you need!

what is it going to take?

Good stuff right?

And, it gave me what I needed.

I remembered my WHY.

To offer support to other women (and their families) through humorous, honest and heartfelt blog posts about our experiences. We want to encourage others to lead their lives with grit and grace so they can discover the “Prairie Wife” within.

And my WHY is what led me to my job at the radio, and the speaking gigs, and emceeing charity events

And that WHY, it’s still right here.

YOU and this blog.

So, if I keep on doing what I’ve been doing for over 6 years now I don’t have anything to worry about.

It led me to where I was supposed to be before COVID-19 and it’ll lead me to where I’m meant to be after.

#GritAndGrace

Now, what is it going to take?

How are you going to motivate yourself?

How are you going to become the main character in your story?

I loved this. I love RH. I’ve been through so much in my 37 years and her book GGWYF inspired me to take control and pull my boot straps up and write my own story and be my own character. I love what you’re doing and the quotes and stories you share. It’s amazing to see a Wyoming woman who is so relatable be so vulnerable which in turn inspires others to own their story. Much ♥️ To You. Stay Healthy
