Through the course of the last four and a half years of blogging we have tried to stay true to our mission…
“To offer support to other women (and their families) through humorous, honest and heartfelt blog posts about our experiences. We want to encourage others to lead their lives with grit and grace so they can discover the “Prairie Wife” within.“
One of our most popular ways to do this is with Prairie Wife of the Week interviews. In the past, we’ve covered every topic under the sun…from homebirth, adoption, and infertility to weight loss, and Cancer (not to mention our celebrity interviews).
This segment on the blog has been on a break for several months while we thought about how we can continue this sharing of stories in a fresh new way.
The result is Prairie Wife Talks About Life!
It’s real, raw and casual. I wanted you to feel like you were listening in on a conversation between two friends.
I made the conscious choice to film in my home, and despite my fingers itching to make some edits so it would look more polished, I kept the editing down to the bare minimum. I wanted to keep that transparency you’ve come to expect from our blog.
This week’s guest is Rachel, and her husband Rich pops in for a bit too.
The topics covered are faith, family, sexual assault, healing, marriage, infertility, missionary work, and strength.
It’s real and raw and keep in mind with these sensitive topics it may not be for everyone.
I added subtitles so you can watch with the sound off (just click the CC symbol on the video), or turn it on and listen to it like a podcast while you cook, clean or drive into town.
Please feel free to leave comments for Rachel, Rich and I! I promise, we’ll be checking them regularly!
