I love what I do.

Seriously, I LOVE what I do.

Mom life and being a Prairie Wife to The Cowboy.

My radio show with Doc, blogging, public speaking…I love it all!

Don’t get me wrong it can be super crazy and jam-packed, exhausting and at times I question my sanity…

But, legit, even on the weeks when I’m feeling like there is no way I can do this, something happens to remind me YES this IS where I belong.

This weekend was one of those times.

We had our second annual Poise Purpose Passion event, and I left the event feeling utterly inspired.

Just watching this video gets me all fired up again lol!

These women were a powerhouse of energy and it was an absolute joy talking with them about some of my favorite topics.

  • Seasonal Change
  • Being a BossBabe
  • Creating a New Culture
  • Intentional Impact
  • How to Use Social Media to Build Your Future

Have I mentioned how much I adore the two women that co-created this event?

Sabrina Spears is the brains and creator behind it all, and a past Prairie Wife of the Week.

Brenna Gatimu is an absolute genius (as far as I’m concerned) at the work that she does as a therapist.

Through our last two years of working together on this event, these women have become mentors to me…and friends.

We touch base frequently, gather for long laughter-filled dinners, and text with all the ups and downs that come our way.

They’ve cheered me on professionally and personally, encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone, and aren’t afraid to tell me hard truths.

I’ve learned how to say no, that there is no shame in celebrating my victories, and I’ve learned to set goals and slay them.

This year’s brunch was themed IGNITE!

It was all about how to ignite your inner fire, and how you should then ignite that fire in other women.

Reading what these ladies had to say about the event, seeing how they were truly burning to take themselves to the next level…it was inspiring and motivating.

“I wanted to go [to Poise Purpose Passion] so I decided to just go for it! And I’m so glad I did. There’s something powerful about being in a room full of like-minded women. I met other women in direct sales, and some that own their own business, and one that was just there for the community. I left not only feeling ignited from the conference itself but I left feeling a little bit stronger.” Kristin

“I love being surrounded by women that are uplifting, encouraging, supporting and helping by sharing their knowledge, and experiences to help others grow. Today I got to do exactly that at Poise Purpose Passion. These generous BossBabes spent countless hours planning to make today’s event awesome.” Angela

I can’t wait to get to work on next year’s event.

And I would encourage you to start looking around you for an event like this.

Invest in yourself, and IGNITE!

Well, it’s not the same but I guess I have my own little group in my office. We tend to go to happy hour Wednesday nights at one of the hotels that’s trying to woo us into booking more rooms there. We have a cocktail, we vent about our day, share some ideas, and enjoy lots of laughs. We might even sort of mentor each other through life’s ups and downs. It sounds like you had a great experience, good for you and all the women that attended.
