Must Have Makeup and Skin Care For Summer 2025

Technically, no makeup is a “must-have,” especially if you don’t wear makeup! But if you DO wear Makeup and love skin care products, this list is exactly what you want for Summer 2025.

What makes these products must-haves?

The foundation offers good coverage without being too thick and lasts all day long, even in the sun and heat.

The lipstick colors are perfect for Summer!

The skin care will give you everything you need to safely maintain that Summer glow over the next few months.

First, let’s talk about sunscreen!

Neutrogena Invisible Daily Defense Sunscreen: This stuff smells fantastic, isn’t greasy or drying, and is my absolute favorite!

Vacation Super Spritz Face Mist—SPF 50: This sunscreen spray is amazing! It’s lightweight and nongreasy, applies invisibly over makeup, and protects your skin for hours. It’s the perfect size to take in your purse to reapply sunscreen throughout the day.

Supergoop (Re)setting Mineral Powder SPF 35: This is another excellent product to keep your face (and ears) from getting sunburned. The powder quickly brushes on and offers fabulous sun protection without being cakey. I also use it on my part in my hair and on my shoulders when I can tell the sun is getting a bit too much when I’m out and about.

Typology TEINTÉ-1002 – Tinted Serum: This is the foundation I use the most, all year round. I love that it has buildable coverage, moisturizes, has a natural look and feel on my skin, and doesn’t seem to sink into my fine lines as the day goes on.

Westman Atelier Vital Skincare Complexion Drops Dewy Skin Tint:  This is an incredibly sheer foundation. Just enough to give you an even glow…if you already have pretty decent skin. It has a gorgeous glow to it and just enough coverage to make you look well-rested, but keep them guessing if you’re wearing makeup or not.

Supergoop Protec(tint) Daily Skin Tint SPF 50: This is the only foundation shared that already has SPF. However, you still need to use sunscreen if you’re out and about all day! It’s a bit heavier than the other foundations, but it still offers light, buildable coverage that can last through a long Summer day.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Instant Eraser Multi Use Concealer, 160: I use this product under my eyes. I have incredibly dark purplish coloring under my eyes, and it’s incredibly sensitive. This lightweight concealer takes away the purple tones without sinking into my smile lines and wrinkles. For a day when I don’t want to wear makeup but need a boost, I’ll use this and mascara, and that’s it. For other days, I layer it under a thicker concealer.

ILIA Lip Sketch Hydrating Lipstick + Lip Liner Crayon: I don’t know what magic formula is in this lip crayon, but whatever it is, I LOVE it! It adds a pop of color that’s even and stays on, without drying out my lips. It’s easy to create a full lip look, and it’s more matte than glossy. My two favorite colors for Summer are Pompus and Kiln.

Merit Beauty Flush Balm: I love this flush balm’s sheer, buildable color! It’s a favorite year-round product of mine, and they have tons of colors to pick from. Go subtle or go bold. I also use it as lip color and eyeshadow when I’m in a rush.
