Preventive Mastectomy: Why I Shared My Story
Posted November 6, 2017 by Prairie Wife - 3 comments
Many of our readers know that this last weekend I was on a girls trip with two of my best friends from High School (more on that later I promise). My plane landed at 11:30pm last night and then I was up and going at 4:30 so that I could make it to our local K2 News Station to talk about the blog.
Below is the clip, and a little look into why I decided to share the ins and outs of my preventive mastectomy. From the emotional to the physical, including pictures…my hope was to empower other women to make the best choice for them and their families.
I want to say thank you to all of you who supported me, and have shared my story with other women in your life who are trying to make the best choice for their family. Thank you to all the women that helped me through my journey with their honest conversations about their mastectomy experiences.
I hope you know how much strength it gives others to see you healthy and happy at the end of your journey.
