My Holiday Fashion Inspiration

I don’t know about you, but I’ve had what feels like a ton of holiday events this year. Between office parties, casual get togethers at friend’s houses, and date night with The Cowboy I’ve been wearing my Prairie Wife heels quite a bit! Plus we still have a few more Christmas parties, Christmas dinner, and our annual New Year’s Bash here on the Prairie homestead to go! While I have a fairly large wardrobe, and I stocked up on some great clothes this fall, I was feeling a little uninspired for all these parties. Then as I was reading one of my favorite blogs jseverydayfasion.com I saw her wearing an adorablewhite tuxedo jacket with black lapels. I had just seen a similar jacket at Target earlier in the week, and because I was trying to be good, I had resisted the urge to buy it. I quickly made the mental note to stop by and get it the next day, I had found my inspiration piece! What I love about the jacket is that it can easily be dressed up or down. It will also transition nicely into a spring and summer wardrobe. Don’t forget to roll or scrunch up the sleeves on the jacket, and accessorize with an over-sized watch! I have a girlfriend that always throws the classiest Christmas parties. She has wine and cheese pairings, and the most delicious baked goods! This navy and gold dress is one of my favorites but, because it is sleeveless I was usually unable to wear it into the winter months. Not anymore!
