Hunting Widows Lyrics

Its October 15th hunting season begins. Load the horses and the guns and head to the mountains.
She wonders if her love is strong enough to make him stay, she’s answered by the tail lights shining through the window pane.

playing with barbiesNow we’re hunting widows and our husbands have left for the hills so we’re gonna do whatever we want while they’re gone!

I’ll be making mac and cheese for dinner at night. And not organic you know! Capri sun, goldfish, and twinkies every day…and Koltiska for us!

And my house is not much to talk about, cause it’s filled with toys that are spread all around.

Now we’re hunting widows and our husbands have left for the hills so we’re gonna do whatever we want while they’re gone!

We’d love to see the sun rise but we’re still asleep. Let the kids stay up all night watching the TV.

sleeping in chairIt’s funny how when my husband leaves for hunting, I put on my sweats. Don’t shower for days, or shave my legs, or leave the house at all.

There’s no dollar sign that I can’t ignore to remodel this house.

So if you agree, have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast!

So we want to see you again, but you’re stuck in colder weather, and you haven’t filled your tags , so you won’t be home. So we’ll stay with the kids, you do what you need to do to fill that freezer with Elk for the family.

Now we’re hunting widows and our husbands have left for the hills so we’re gonna do whatever we want while they’re gone!

I thank God for my sitter, and the local Salon in town, where we can get our pedicure and hair done. We can shop for hours, in the Target aisles, and buy all those things on the clearance rack.

Now we’re hunting widows and our husbands have left for the hills so we’re gonna do whatever we want while they’re gone!

No longer hunting widows and our husbands are on their way, gotta get cleaned up and shave these legs.
And here they come down the driveway do I look alright? Are the kids all here? I’m so happy to see him!
